The Lightning LS-218 is an American-engineered electric superbike that has held the title of the world’s fastest street-legal production electric motorcycle since its launch in 2014. It boasts a top speed of 218 mph (351 km/h), making it faster than any other street-legal electric motorcycle and among the fastest production motorcycles overall. The LS-218 is powered by a liquid-cooled 180 kW (244 HP) IPM electric motor delivering 220 ft-lbs (298 Nm) of torque. The bike features advanced racing technology including Brembo brakes, Öhlins suspension, and Marchesini forged magnesium wheels. It offers a standard 12 kWh battery pack, with an optional 20 kWh pack extending the range to 160–180 miles (260–290 km), and a 28 kWh Lightning-Fast Charge System (LFCS) option for up to 335 miles range. The LS-218 is assembled in the USA and is currently not available in Bangladesh.
